The narrative
The Padmasan is inspired by the lotus posture where a being sits cross-legged in a meditative state, accomplishing conscious growth and enlightenment. The deeper sections of this sculpture reflect the posture as a silhouette on the foreground when the equipped LED light is projected from inside. Crafted as a natural chandelier, this sculpture lights up the space and enhances the environment around, in line with its design ideology.
Material exploration
The Acacian wood was carefully extracted from the ground where it was found lying and carved into a chandelier concept with artistic crafting. A lighting function has been concealed on the inside and spreads a magnificent glow across the area of placement.
