Artwork Concept

Inspired by the tale of the Hunter and the Deers from the Shiva Purana, Salvation is crafted to represent the undefiable sacrifice of the deers and the hunter while trying to virtuously fulfil their desires. A contrasting craft of the deer on one side and evil thoughts on another, standing eloquently on a skull shaped coquina rock signifying victory of good over evil thoughts, expressing an act of Salvation.

Material Exploration

Pacific Rosewood carved with extensions resembling a humble deer and a characterisation of evil thoughts deluged in the crafting.
